History
The Roots of a Dream
Rachel Bloom started out teaching Special Education in New York, Virginia, Wisconsin and Oregon. Her wide range of experiences provided her with a unique view into what was possible for people with disabilities. She saw, close up, a gap in job opportunities available for disabled adults. And she was inspired and determined to change that.
Rachel founded Full Life in 1999. Full Life is now recognized as a solid, and award-winning model organization that helps close the job-gap and build community inclusion for people with disabilities. Imaginative programs, skilled staff and a caring community of friends and families have made Full Life an energetic, ever-growing and essential presence in the area.
