The Roots of a Dream
Rachel Bloom started out teaching Special Education in New York, Virginia, Wisconsin and Oregon. The wide range of experiences she got in those diverse settings gave her a clear picture of what was not being done and what was possible. She saw the gap in opportunities available for disabled adults and determined to create a place that championed these underserved people.
Rachel founded Full Life in 1999 and has built a solid, well-recognized and awarded organization that helps everyone reach their potential for a happy, productive and full life. Imaginative programs, skilled staff and a caring community of friends and families have made Full Life an energetic, ever-growing and essential presence in the area.
